I am a secondary math/science teacher in Ontario Canada, who is currently pursuing a PhD in math education. My interests are in social constructivist classrooms and how students make sense of knowledge through working with others as opposed to learning directly from the teacher. I am also interested in mathematical literacy, especially as world-wide curricula transition away from formal mathematics. Together, I believe 2teachis2learn4ever as it is my goal to improve math understanding for all students.

Nick (Zhiyong) Huang is a graduate teacher candidate at the University of Toronto, OISE, pursuing his master of teaching. Nick received his honours bachelor of science with high distinction at the University of Toronto, specializing in mathematics and its application in teaching. He is interested in differentiated assessments in teaching mathematics from K-12. Nick has conducted a math educational research in understanding how first year linear algebra students understand definitions, presented in the 2021 Canadian Mathematical Society anniversary summer meeting. He is currently working on his master of teaching research paper on differentiated assessments in mathematics. Nick also has experiences with mathematical and geospatial modelling, helping estimating for travel time to the nearest hospital, with study published by BMJ Open.
